Be What You See

Be What You See Consultancy Ltd (BWYS) is an Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) training company. The company’s offer includes Anti-Racism, LGBTQIA+ awareness, Neurodiversity awareness and Active Bystander training.

I started working with BWYS as a consultant in October 2022, shortly after the company was established in February of that year. My role is to support the Company Director with strategic planning and to establish business systems and processes.

strategy development

I support the Company Director in setting strategic objectives and KPIs. To inform the development of these I’ve undertaken a SWOT analysis with BWYS staff and put in place a financial forecasting model.

Systems and processes

As a young company, it has been important to have the necessary systems and processes in place in order to operate effectively. This has included the development of policies, ways of working practices and operating systems. As a company with EDI as its core, I have ensured that this is reflected in its practices, from policy development to establishing staff selection, recruitment and onboarding processes.

compliance

There are many compliance areas that a young company needs to be aware of and adhere to, including financial, HR, data protection and safeguarding. I’ve worked with the Company Director to ensure systems and policies are in place to manage these areas and mitigate associated risks.
